View Full Version : Problem "Learning IR Code" using USB-UIRT fails for SONY remote

When I send keypresses via my SONY DVD's (RM-DX500) remote to the USB-UIRT, it registers with the "receive" light flashing.

But when I try this after pulling up the USB-UIRT Action dialog and use the "Learn IR Code", the light never flashes and receives codes.

Since I have been able to do this in the past, I know there must just be some configuration issue that is preventing me from doing these steps. Using other remotes, it looks like this process works.

Any ideas?

Again, I have recorded codes from this remote in the past and I can "test" to send them to the device where they work fine. Thanks,

M

I just had to move remote in far closer than the 6" distance suggested. At some point it registered, though I had to angle the remote at 45 degrees for some reason.
