Hello Folks

If I get Girder 4.0 and Tira-2.1: Remote Control Receiver/Transmitter, I have a question -

I would like to program a long sequence of codes, which can be 1 to 3 minutes long into a device.

For example, I take my remote control and face it to Tira box and I click the buttons in my remote as follows (they are in arbitrary order) and may last 2or so minutes-
Cancel, up, up, right, up, right, left, left, right, up, down, down, (and many more directional keys), enter, then save the long sequence of keys.

Will Girder be able to accept this long sequence and play back the sequence to the device?

TIA

Scott

First of all, do a search on Tira and you will see the problems people have had with it on Girder 4 and that Tira offers no support for their Girder 4 plug-in. It WILL work (I used it for many months before finally switching over to the USB-UIRT), but you will certainly see some strange things. For instance, It won't shut down normally when Girder shuts down.

That said, I don't think you can capture a series of buttons pushes with any device of this sort. You have to capture each one separately and then string together the individual actions in a Girder macro.
