Hi Guys
I've done a few GML program definitions. I cannot seem to send a keystroke to the Vista Windows Media Center. Nothing works. No focussing the app first nothing.
When recording commands only mouse clicks seem to record for eshell.exe no keyboard?
Any advice on how to program a remove for this? Pref send keystrokes directly to the app (non of the hidden files seem to accept either?) and foreground doesnt do the trick either :( .
Thanks
D

I think MCE is a DirectX application which are notorious for not accepting key-strokes. I'll put it on my todo list to investigate. One things I can advise ofhand is: are you attempting to send keys with the 'send to foreground' target option set? If not try to do so.

Hi Ron
Thanks for taking the time to replay. Nothing works. Def not "send to forground" after focussing the app.
How does it collect keyboard data then?
BTW Is there any reason why the Keyboard functions are not designed as well as the "Girder 3.3 legacy" ones? i.e. no tickboxes for control etc. Trying to remember what characters are used for <control> etc is a pain.
Thanks again for taking a look.

You have that in G4, if you go in the tree click on G3 legacy actions and then click on Keyboard G3. There you will have the tickboxes for CTRL, ALT, etc... Maybe I didn't follow you but this is my find.

Hi there
I know they're there - why not add them to the New Keyboard ver 4? Why is there a new keyboard section anyhow - there's no change in function?
Nothing seems to work on DX apps.

The Media Bridge interacts with MCE, can you achieve what you are trying to do by using the MB?

Hi Ron,
Thanks for replying. Been using Girder a long time and never seen Media Bridge in there? Is this a plugin I need to download from Microsoft?
Thanks
