GAC:SetFields question (or 'Requested Fields from Player' and GAC)

I thought I tested once where I could use SetFields(name) with GAC and have my plugin pass 'custom' fields, however it no longer seems to work. I noticed the addition the "Requested Fields from Player" setting it MB and found it does pass these custom fields using MP.fieldname (but it still doesn't seem to be passed to GAC) Is there a way to pass custom fields to GAC?
