Promixis guys, do you have any idea why I don't get hex values appearing in my log when using the Nokia SMS plugin... and yet Richard, danward79 and Wonio in the original G4 thead do.

Me... not a hex value in sight. I've been anti-hexed lol.

Seriously though, where in G5 have the log levels been changed. Why is it that I can't see the low level stuff even if I add a Change Log Level and set it to 1 it doesn't show hex?

Thanks in advance,

OK... I think I may have spotted why...

I seem to have the Girder 4 manual in Girder 5. It has reference to "Log Low Level Scripting Debug Messages" that doesn't seem to be in G5.

Has it been moved elsewhere?

John, When you run the action to set the log level I assume you get an entry in the log saying the Nokia logging level has been set?

What's the LogLevel set to in your copy of the Nokia3310.lua file?

LogLevel is set to 1 in Nokia3310.lua... Set Log Level is also set to 1.

What should it be set to and where is the low level debug option gone to from G4?

It doesn't appear in my copy of G4 (4.0.15 build 371) - perhaps it was removed after the screenshot was taken?

Device manager has several logging settings, but that wouldn't affect this.

It's pretty bizarre that I don't get hex codes in my log then, even after a total server re--install.

You say in your log - they should appear in the Interactive Lua Scripting Console, not the logger. Is that where the confusion lies?

Nope... I should specify but I check both logs and when I say "the logs" I mean both of them. I wouldn't know about the line 120 lua error otherwise.

Is there a G5 manual anywhere I can get hold of... because I bet 99% of my questions will (I hope) be handled there. The G4 one I'm using is causing more confusion than help what with me basically upgrading from 3.3 to 5 and using a manual from 4. It's like an Englishman learning French from a English to Chinese to French translator. It sort of works but garbles the meaning. ;)

"Please to insert battery wrong side up"

(and you may laugh... I got that in one of my instruction manuals :D).
