I got asked how to get images from Girder to NetRemote and that's easy.
I figured out to do using simpletimer and I can start the timer but I can't figure out how stop the darn thing. The only way I can get the darn thing to stop is to restart Girder.
I know there is a cancel but how do you use it. The help file is totally unhelpful as usual.

My problem lies in updating a changing image.
OK so I have a birdcam in the garden that updates a jpg image every second on my server. Girder accesses the picture ok but I need it to send it to the NetRemote PC every second while the NetRemote page is on "BirdWatcher". When ileave that page I want to stop Girder sending me the page.
My brain has shut down with regard to timer functions because I can't figure out how to trigger Girder events via Lua in NetRemote. I could have sworn I've done it before now but maybe I'm thinking of the gir.triggerevent command in Girder itself.
Oh yeah and how do you register a watch on NR.PanelName?
See my email, plus I have a panel watch in the system file I sent with the CCf file the other day.

lol... I just figured it out.
I actually went to bed... closed my eyes and the answer popped into my head.
I swear I've got a subconcious programmer implant.
