Ron,

The latest uploaded version of netremote-2.0.19.142.cab installs fine on WM2003se. I appreciate your efforts.

Thanks,

Joe

Hi Rob,
Just found out when trying to update my iPAQ 3870 with the latest Version:

All versions newer that 2.0.15.138 don't install an PPC2002. Is that intentional?
I copied tha cab to the device as I always did but the installer just didn't do it.
I translate from German:
"netremote-2.0.19.142.cab is not a valid file for WinCE setup"

Hope you can help.
Thanks

Never mind. I just found that you replaced the cab-file without changing the version. I downloaded again and it installed as usual.
Thanks

build 2.0.20 released.

Only a couple of changes for this build

NetRemote: updated the advanced controls to tell NRD that certain parameters are Lua variables

Mediabrige: Hopefully the final fix for the issue of not connecting to JRMC at boot time

another problem:
The links for the 2.0.20.143 versions seems to be mixed up.
cab -> 2.0.20.143CE
CE -> 2.0.19.142CE

Oops, thanks for pointing that out, will have to wait for Ron to correct that tomorrow.

The mediabridge configuration option "Return 'All' Node with Tree and GAC Requests" has no effect in recent JRMC 13 versions.

i.e. the option to SUPPRESS the 'all' node in the tree, by unchecking this, doesn't work anymore...

Probably because JRMC now shows 'All Artists' / 'All Albums' instead of just 'All' ?

Could this be fixed ?

Thanks,

Marcel

Another find:
2.0.20.143 NR Win32 and WM handle font sizes differently.
I just resized my CCF from 240x320 to 480x640. Then the designer asked, if it should resize the fonts. Unfortunately the both NR versions act differently. On WM6 the fonts have to stay the size they where in the small format, otherwise I have giant letters on my buttons. On win32 its different, only the resized fonts result in the correct display.

Additionally I realized, when trying to make my CCF fit for my HTC display with 480x800 that the designer is unable to scroll correctly vertical, if the size exeeds the screen. (I know, I have to post that in the designer thread as well.)

Cheers

There's a large fonts button on the toolbar, I think you need to use that.

I don't follow: I have a CCF that behaves differently on Win32 and WM6.1.
What could a button do to change that?
I think there is an inconstistency in the way the CCF font size is handled on the different platforms.

I can't test this at present here, as I mentioned the other day I've had to move to a different PC here and don't have all the tools available.

Also my 480x640 PPC needs a new battery - the old one has swollen for some reason :(

The idea of the Hires PPC mode button is that NRD will scale the fonts up to the size that they will appear on a PPC at 480x640

Ok, I see what the HiresMode does in the designer. Are you saying the WM6 behaves differently on purpose with the font scaling?.
Is there any way I could switch from Hires-Mode to Normal in the WM6 NR Client?

There's certainly something odd that happens on VGA resolution PPCs when it comes to fonts.

Looks like it still is not corrected..
For PPC it downloads 2.0.20.143CE
and it won't work on Axim X30
Could you please correct?

Hmm, very odd that this ist still not fixed.
I think however, you can install from the suite using active sync.
Unconvenient but doable...

Hope this helps

i realize that.. but i don't use active sync.
i ended up copying netremote files (older version) from the other ppc without actual installation - seems to work.
(sorry for lower case typing - broke my left arm which i normally use for "shift" : )

Ah, I wonder if it's uninstalling the Segoe UI font accidentally? Thanks for the report and apologies for the problem.

Yes, it has something to do with Segoe. But, Segoe font remain in font options, but could not apply segoe.
I tried differents fonts, some of them worked, but not default Win7 fonts...
If anybody have this problem, put Win7 ( or Vista) dvd and start repair.
After 5 minutes the windows fonts is restored. I tried Windows 7 Manager( an software from Yamisoft) but nothing worked.

The tutorial found on google could not apply to our setups after Netremote uninstall, because it blocked default fonts.
Win7 has an restore fonts options, but it's not working.

How can be mad of you guys after making suck wonderfull software like Girder or Netremote?

That file is marked "uninsneveruninstall",.. which should never uninstall it. Also it is marked "onlyifdoesntexist",.. so if its there already it doesn't install.
