Generic USB IR adaptor plugin???

What you are reffering to are IRDA devices, and girder has a very experimental IRDA plugin that works(or doesn't) with a virtual COM port. I haven't had any luck with a small IRDA adaptor I've build.

:-? Can somebody tell me if there is a generic USB adaptor plugin. I use a MA-620 IR adaptor but I can't use it with Girder cause I can't find any plugins. Does Girder work with USB devices or they have to be serial? :-? Thanx in advance...
