Sorry if this has been brought up before.

Since upgrading to G5 from G4, a few annoying things with my computer.

(1) I no longer have my volume OSD from my keyboard. (this was a keyboard function)
(2) I get an error every time i shutdown of WMI not responding.
(3) I no longer get the weather pop-up on screen (I have addressed this in another post, but miss it)
(4) Cannot get my local area name to display in weather...(I use several is reason of importance)

running windows xp pro on a former gaming machine (memory, etc not an issue)

PS. purchased a LUA book to start learning the language as to utilize more of the program.
LOL....started as a simple remote project, now getting obsessed. Love the capabilty, now need more knowledge :)

Just got a new DVD jukebox, so hopefully I can figure out scripting to utilize DVD profiler with LDJ2 in the manner I wish it to work on my tablet remote.

1. If your keyboard takes care of the volume controlling (independently of Girder) then Girder does not block that. Does the volume control work without Girder running?
2. Make sure you have WMI disabled if it is giving you trouble and you do not need it. If you need it please give details about the error.
3. Weather pop-ups are being phased out. You can still enable the weather pop-ups but it's a manual process that is not supported officially.
4. Where would this display?

The volume OSD from keyboard did display up until upgrade was installed. Even after exiting Girder, it will not come up. I will mess around with that a bit more.

As far as the weather location name, it will be displayed as a header on a particular remote control page. I could just put the name of each city location in manually and have several pages.

The old script from awhile back was: {Weather.Local.Location.City}
I was basically looking for the new format to this command from CustomWeather, (if there is one). It really is not a big deal, just if it was possible, would be handy.

Hey Ron,
Did a bit more digging on the OSD and WMI issues. I'm afraid that was on my end. Wife installed a few pieces of software on my computer that same day, and did not tell me. It has been removed and all back to normal. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I am still working on the multiple location thing for weather. Will try a few more things to see if I can get this to work.

In the mean time, the CCF is coming along very nicely. Not nearly as cool as some I've seen here, but non the less, is my first in Netremote.

Hopefully soon I will have something to post in the showcase.
