I try to set up simple USB-UIRT Actions to control my receiver Yamaha rx-v2600. So I selected Action called USB-UIRT Action, dragged to my newly added group. Edit Window opened, I selected Learn IR Code and press on the yamaha remote. However, nothing happens. I kept for around 30 seconds and that is usually enough for other remotes, that I tried. I have been able to learn and send comands with other remotes, so my Girder setup is done correctly.
What could be the problem?
I run Girder5 on XP SP2.

Just continuing on my thread. Properties window of USB UIRT Action is not ver descriptive. I searched manual, and it doesn't explain much about this Action. My guess is that perhaps frequency have to be changed, but how do I know what frequency to use. I find it hard to believe I need to test each and every possible frequency...
What I found also interesting, is that if I press buttons of the same Yamaha remote, I can see entries in Log Display. I even dragged it into Girder window and created event. I have then tested and it worked well, which means that USB UIRT device is able to read IR signal from Yamaha remote. It is only in Learn IR Code that it doesn't work. Even the red light on device is not blinking.

As a side note this dialog is created and maintained by the manufacturer.
Sounds like the Yamaha remote uses an unsupported frequency. Contact Jon over at http://www.usbuirt.com/support.htm for these device specific questions.

How close is the remote to the USB-UIRT when you're trying to learn the IR code? In my experience about an inch (2.5 cm) is the right sort of distance.

Thank you Rob, it works now! I was holding it about 10-12 cm away. I read somewhere it should be around 3 inches away... But when I put it closer, it worked fine. Thanks again.
