Hi, I'm geting some trouble here. I have a Microsoft Media Center remote and receiver

But I dameged my remote (water), so i bought a Xbox 360 universal remote

The problem is that the xbox 360 it's not universal (like the name sugest), and it does not work with the PC receiver to control media center.
Is there any way to make it work on the Media Center receiver on the PC? Some one told me thar Girder does it, but I didn't manege to make it work. Every time I press a button on the Xbox universal remote - the media center receiver shows a red light.
How can I make sure that the PC receiver from microsoft is comunicating to girder? How I configure to make it work?
If Girder can make it work, witch version should I purchise? since I'm using the trial version.
