Just to expand a bit ...
Take a look at the FAQ (http://www.girder.nl/help/faq.php#101) and the downloadable example file. Good luck. :)

welcome to the wonderfull (and sometimes confusing) world of girder....
have a look at the task create/switch plugins to detect which application is in foreground. then enable/disable groups of commands in girder...

no, task the create/task switch plugins should be included in the regular Girder installer/zip file.
the download page for Girder 3.1 can be found via the 'normal' download page. there's a link to Girder 3.1 stuff on the top of the page.

Hi everyone!
Sorry if this already have been adressed somewhere, but I'm new to this  and trying to find a way so that Girder would not execute ALL command from the same input whatever your program is.
I just got a "streamZap" IR remote control and am running Girder 3.1 (3.2 doesn't support streamzap plugin yet  ) and this remote have about 32 keys. (not much...)
Under most circonstances, I have "programmable" keys that I want to use to call programs. When I'm under those programs, I'd like to be able to totally reprogram them for that particular application.
For instance, I use red button to open WinAmp, Green to call drive D. Under winAmp, I'd like to program green for "random" toggle. The 2 can easily be done, and I can "target" the random to be on Winamp. trouble is, if I do so, I toggle random each time I call drive D and I call drive D each time I set random.
Is there any way I can adress the comands so they are active ONLY if a certain program is in the foreground?
Thanks.
(at the same time, any clue on how to use win media player basic from win98 - no upgrade - with Girder?)

Hey thanks. I've found in the FAQ that you point out, I'll try out later.
Now the Task create plugin, is it something I need to download? trouble is that I don't find it in the plugins downlaod page...
thanks.

thanks a lot guys!

I'm trying to do the same thing here and am having a hard time understanding the FAQ and example file. I made command groups for each app with all the hotkeys I would like them to use..of course, some are the same and some are not. Then I made Check if foreground groups below those for each group above. What I am having trouble understanding is this: I realize there is an enable and disable group command for each of these lower groups and I also realize that there is a command that supposedly triggers either or. What I do not understand is if I just use the "Is Foreground" pulldown, press target with the app running and then highlight it's info in the upper box and check all the checkboxes that come from that and then just browse for the enable and disable groups for that app. How do I approach that part of it?
Another big thing I do not understand is this: Once I have the enable and disable if foreground options working for the groups, does this check happen automatically or do I have to assign a special ir that triggers that check? Thanks in adance.
