Hi Steve,
I don't have time to look into this
but you can control IE via DDE,
to get some info on this look at:

I'm trying to find a clean way to pass a url to an open IE browser session using Girder. I can simulate a Ctrl-O hotkey combination to open an IE Open dialog box and then send a keyboard "sentence" with the desired url. Unfortunatly, this requires some fairly long "wait" pauses in order to work reliably and looks goofy with dialog boxes opening and closing, etc.
Anyone have any suggestions on how I might programatically send a url string to an open browser window?
Thanks in advance! -- Steve
