Anyway it should be possible. but I don't have time to support french. What I can do is release the source and give some French dude ;-) a chance to get it to work with French. ( should not be hard. )

I have the programm Via Voice French Version and it is able to speak french.

Is there any way to use this program with girder?

I didn't intend to offend anyone... was just plainly saying that MS did not (as of my knowledge, but I think there is one MS programmer into girder that could confirm??? 8)) do any other language.

BUT if anyone can have it in french, I'd be glad to make my computer stop talking like an anglo trying french for the first time ;)

désolé, l'application est (à ma connaissance) uniquement anglophone.

Par contre, si quelqu'un mets la main dessus en français, je serais vraiment content de changer d'API pour que mon ordi arrête de parler comme un ontarien 8)

Isn't the MS talking API that does the "pronounciation"??

I woul actually like to make it speak french... I kinda have this french translating habit with softwares... ;)
Ifever it is possible.

I tried SAM (the origin of the MS api) back on my Commodore 64. then on my very fisrt PC (a 286) I already saw some advance. Backside, less configuration. Now it is some kind of an inclusion to the windows OS for people to develop softwares...

In all those, exception made to "tweak" sounds to make it say the proper thing, I never managed to make it speak french... so no read and say possibilities.

now if it actually can be done, I'd give a try.
