Slink-e And Turle Beach RF remote (or two com devices)

I use the Turle Beach RF remote to send commands to girder using the serial plugin and i am planing on getting a slink-e to do various things such as controlin' IR equipment.
any thoughts on using two serial devices at the same time?
should i just make two "devices" in the genericSerialPlugin?
