But certainly, check 'load reg' and 'save reg', the name reg is a remnant of the old register naming. It does save and load all variables though.

They save to files.

It saves all registers.

Not quite sure what you mean, but if you close girder it will not save the variables unless you tell it to in the on close event.

This is in girder 3.1 ? I ask because in Girder 3.2 this has been completely rewritten. So it should work.

I use registers to start playlists on my three to four devices (one MJB and two to three Winamps), and I use separate registers to start next playlist (after the last one used) and previous playlist (the number before the last one used). The problem is that every time I reboot the computer (with WinXP Pro it never crashes, but I need to rebot it at times to juggle harddisks for video editing and compressing) the registers are blanked out.

Is there a way to save or keep those register settings (like writing to a file or something like that) on Girder exit and reload them again when I reopen Girder?

Eh...ok. I'll try to check that out later today. Do they save to and load from files or what? I'm kind of a moron when it comes to registers...

Nope, I still don't understand it. Sorry I'm so stupid...

When I choose "Save reg" and set a filename (in my case reg4.tor), the listbox to choose what register to save is greyed out! It says Register: 10,
and I want to save and reload register 4 in this case. Can you please help me further? I know I'm a pain, but at least I'm polite.

Addendum (I like that word!): It works just like you said, but there's one thing: When I close Girder by clicking the cross in the upper right corner it just closes without saving the registers. Is this changed in 3.2? I'm still on 3.1 on that computer since it works with 100 % reliability as it is.

Simple, really: If I close with file - close, it saves the registers, if I use the windows button with the big X in the upper right corner it doesn't. Even tough I have set it to save them. But when I reboot the computer or shut it down, it saves them, so it's no big problem.

Yeah. I'll get to upgrading on that computer next week. I was wondering if that could be the problem. Thanks. :D
