Sending keystrokes to the frontmost app

Hi. I've got Girder and a USB-UIRT infrared remote installed on Windows Vista Ultimate and I've mapped the little white Apple remote to the keys up arrow, down arrow and the center button to be Enter.

What I'm trying to do is generate those keystrokes (key down events) in whichever application is in the front, in this case, Macromedia Director or a Director Projector.

The remote's keyPresses are being being registered by Girder but what do I still have to do to sent them to the app?

Ok, I've got sending keyboard keypresses accomplished by mapping a remote keypress to a Keyboard action. I hope this is the correct way to do this.

A problem is that I want to send a keyboard up arrow, down arrow and enter/return and the Keyboard Action control does not let me enter those keys. Is there another way to do this?
