The Good News: I am happy to report that I have Girder 3.2 working with the latest ATI MMC 7.6 software for the AIW Radeon (same software for all AIW Radeons - and there are reports of 7.6 working on Rage-based AIWs). :D
In fact, it's working with ye olde Packard Bell Fast Media remote I picked up for $5 at a trade show - cheaper than the ATI Remote Wonder, fer sure (not UHF, tho)...
I can change channels, volume, recall last channel, power on/off, go fullscreen/windowed.
The Bad News: As hard as I try, I have not been able to get any keyboard functions that require Ctrl+Letter combos to work (Record = Ctrl+R, Guide = Ctrl+E, etc). Nor does sending the LeftClick command to the appropriate widget work for those that rely upon the Ctrl+Keypress. :(
Only *once* was I able to map a remote key to "Ctrl+R" -- when I specified "Foreground Window Only" in the "Target" settings. That can't be right.
I'd be happy to share my config file with other Girder + ATI MMC 7.6 users out there in an effort to figure this out. I've spent enough hours with the program and docs to think that there's potentially a bug in Girder 3.2 with regard to Ctrl/Alt/Shift + the "Alternate Keystroke Send" method.
Feel free to post or email. If I get this working, this will be a easy-n-sweet combo, all thanks to Girder.
