Forum got down?

I have informed the webhoster of the possible problems. If the problems persists feel free to post here again. Try to give as much info as possible then (time, browser, errorcode etc etc)

I have seen the same error on a computer at the campus. The way I solved that was by typing this address:

http://www.girder.nl/phpBB2/viewtopic.php

After that it all worked. Its a complete mistery to me. Nothing changed when Girder.nl moved to the new server.

I would agree, BUT I could read all the other pages on the girder page without problems... :-) ( thus www.girder.nl/index.php worked just fine) only the phpBB2 pages failed.

I actually got an email from the webhoster yesterday, there was a configuration error of some sort in Apache. It should be fixed now. ... we'll see.

Looks like the forum just doesn't like working over the weekend :)

Some DNS Servers refresh their cache very rearly or not at all, Some action cause this to get refreshed.

What I had yesterday from 8 to 10 PM (I'm in Montreal Canada) was simply as the file wasn't there.

the link http://www.girder.nl/phpBB2/index.php was literally missing.

It's not even a 404 error, the browser reports it as it cannot find the server.

Is phpBB2 on the same location as the main website?
maybe the forum server just went offline for a while.

Ok, I couldn't log for the whole week-end, probably it is a DNS error, as said previously, as it works on other locations.

I'll verify tonight at home if it's still not working, and try the new link. Thanks.

And same for my place, ALL work except the forum. WEIRD...

it seams to be intermitent, but tonight I cannot find the page for the forum.

BUT since I mailed the adress you gave, I tried, it works.

The problem is not solved, there is surely something wrong about this page and ISPs.... hope I can help.

It was great for some time, so I tought it fixed it all...

but yesterday I had again the same error. like there is a problem with DNS not finding it. Sorry to report it is not fixed yet.
Weird is that I NEVER had the error at work.

I wonder if it's the browser, the ISP, the overall internet (I'm in Canada) or plainly just my computer.
