I used a command to kill the screen saver but it seems not to work.

Using close command under Windows tag and targeting set for executeable with .scr and substring matching and match hidden tasks it still does not close.

I use the standard flying text screen saver under ME ......v3.2.2 Girder.

thanks Rick

Using the spacebar to the foreground application may not be such a good idea because if you press this button when the foreground application isn't the screensaver you will get unwanted results.
I think you should use the mouse function and move the mouse 1pix to one side and then 1pix back.
I do it this way and it works fine

Good Luck

On my computer (Win 98se), I just send a spacebar keyboard press to the foreground task and it kills the screensaver.

Well, I'm assuming that you would only use the command to get out of the screensaver. As for the mouse, that doesn't always work for me.
