I'm sending a message to Brian as well, since he hasn't been here for a few weeks. But I need a PlayPick driver that works with the latest NR. That's holding me back from updating the carputer system.

Hi Mastiff,
What is it you're trying to achieve that you need PlayPick? I dropped PlayPick in favour of MB file paths now that that feature works.
Cheers

I suspect that PlayPick might be needed for "other" players like Zoom.

I had totally forgotten that there might still be people using PlayPick. After passing on to Ron ongoing responsibility for AvidUtils (now renamed I believe) and Zoom, I thought I could sit quietly in the background, running my old (but working perfectly for me) code and a 5-year-old CCF. I have done no active work on anything to do with my HTPC for months - it still does just what I want. My "spare" time has moved on to something else now.

But I am still lurking on the forum, and am still in a position to do something for the new version. So I shall download build 124 and the latest SDK and see what changes are needed to get my other drivers (PlayPick, DigiTV EPG & RadioPicker) working. Who knows? I might move into the bright new world of "NR 2.0 Release" myself!

Watch this space!

Turned out easier than I expected. Though I haven't tested it on my PPC, so I may be over-optimistic.

Distribution attached.

Thank you very much, Brian! My wife's out with the Chevy right now, but I'll try it out when she gets back!

Dan, I have a rather complicated setup built around PlayPick and Zoom Player in the car, and I really don't want to spend a full weekend rebuilding it! ;)

Sorry, but I get this on my Win32 carputer: "The plugin does not implement GetFactory". Then NR crashes. :(

Hmmm ...

What version of NR are you running?

The driver interface has been in a bit of flux, and there is a need to match NR and 3rd-party driver versions. As far as I can tell, the currently available SDK is for Build 121 or later. I tested on Build 124.

Sorry, Brian! My mistake! I thought I was running the latest, but I had reinstalled an earlier beta by mistake! So it works as it should now. Thank you very much! :D

Great - I'm glad it still works for you.
