you can create very very large files only limited by the amount of memory available. So my guess is syntax error.

Can anyone (RonB?) tell me if there are any size limit to a GML file, or limits to the number of commands or event strings. I have been able to create a file that contains 100 commands but one of 150 seems to fail. I may have a syntax problem, but before I read through every line are there any limits. I want to create a file of between 500 and 1000 commands. Should this be possible?
Also is there a way of finding more information on the errors? The only message I get is "Cannot Load Datafile"?
Thanks

We found that the issue was some "&" in executable filenames. It would seem that Girder will add "#38;" after the "&" to avoid a problem.
We now have all playlists (500+) listed on the pronto and executing through Girder.
Wicked :D
Thanks for the help.
