Hi,
I have Netremote 1.1 and Girder 5.

I want to display a picture on NetRemote.

When I use the command NetRemote.SetImage(var, picture), no picture is load on my netremote and a message in Girder logger "netremote no ip"

When I use the command NetRemote.ClientSetImage(ip,var, picture) it works.

I need to update all my Netremote. How can I do this if the command NetRemote.SetImage is not working as expected.

Thanks

It sounds as though one of the instances of NetRemote is causing a problem.

In Girder can you open the Component Manager, and take a look at the list of NetRemote clients (NetRemote is under the Communications 'tab' on the left) and see if there are the correct number of clients present and whether they are showing the correct host names or IP addresses for the PCs/PPCs that NR is running on.

I'd probably recommend that you shut down all the clients, restart Girder and try starting NR clients one at a time until you find the one that is causing the problem. Once you've done that, go into the File|Properties dialog on that client and delete the Girder plugin instance, enable auto discovery and restart the client.

On NetRemote, I deleted the Girder instance and create a new one.
On Girder, I have an entry in the "Known client" with the hostname and no ip between the bracket...

Is this a PC or PPC client?

How many network interfaces do you have on the Girder PC?

Can you ping the NR client device by name?

Clients are PC and PocketPC
On the Girder Server, there were several network interfaces. I desactivate all except the network card.
I can ping my NetRemote clients from the server by their names.
I restarted Girder and I still have the same trouble.

Can you try NetRemote version 2 and see if that has the same problem on that particular machine?

I tested with Netremote 2, it works as expected...
In NetRemote Client list, between the bracket, there is now a GUID and no more bad message in the log.

I use Netremote Pro +IR 1.1.0.44
