Hi everybody!

We're running a Girder/NR system with an application server, and several remote clients connecting via remote desktop protocol. So we have several users simultaneously on the same PC, each with a seperate NR task. On our testserver running girder 5.0.0. (build 523) beta all is right, on another pc with girder 5.0.2 (build 536) we have the problem that each new NR task (different user via rdp) prevents the other user's girder access. After testing port access in NR the very user is right, but all others have no more access. Is there a way to identify the different local NR instances to girder? I'm just trying if adding a commentary to the users account makes a difference to the system...

Thank You!

Christian

Can you confirm that the NR license as shown in Help|About is "Whole Home"? That should appear next to the license key.

Yes, it's a Whole Home Licence.

Hello!

Found out that the newer girder is a PRO licence - as there's only one girder instance this shouldn't be a problem??? NR is a whole home pro licence, identical on all clients/users.

In the NetRemote User Guide, check out the chapter on command line parameters - you'll need to specify the instance parameter and possibly also the profile parameter. That should ensure that each copy of NR that's running uses a different GUID.

Thank You Rob H! You've helped me a lot solving the problem!

I'm not actually sure - that's a question for Ron really I guess.

No that is not possible in Girder. Sorry. Please contact me directly to discuss this further.
