I agree with Mars - make sure the configuration of the plugins is the same. In particular, you may wish to export your serial devices, copy the resultant .ini files to the other machine and import them there. This should save you a bit of time.

I did port Girder to another computer not later than last saturday, from a testing platform to my newly buyed HTPC. All went OK, fast and simple.
I don't think you should worry about the migration if you're using the same remote, the same plugins, the same girder version and the same directory.
Be sure to include all the same plug-in, and to redo the same configuration. All will work simple.
Welcome to the world of Girder. Theater made simple.

What a cool program! Of course I guess every newbie says that huh? :)
In 4 hours I've figured out how to do all the keyboard learning, targeting, "macros", as well as the 232 serial plugin. All working wonderfully. I was even able to "troubleshoot" multiple instances of the program opening (anti-repeat).
Now, my question is:
Girder will be used as the only control device for my HTPC. There is no local monitor, only an 8' screen and the CRT projector. I have created a mirror image of my HTPC harddrive on my desktop computer. This was so that I could program Girder on a "normal" system without having to be in the theatre. All of my folders and program locations were created n the exact same place so that targeting wil be correct. It appears that all I will have to do in export and then import my Girder file. Is there anything else I should be wary of? or on the lookout for?
Thanks in advance!

Cool, thanks!
I figured as long as everything was the same I would be OK, but you know how that goes. I figured better safer to check than get it all done and have someone say "Oh, BTW....did you do...."
That would be bad.
