There was a plugin which did exactly that, but it doesn't work with Girder 3.2. Worked only until version 3.1

you can find it in girder 3.0 section for download:

KeySelector 1.2 Jason Parekh This plugin allows Girder to loop through characters and type them into the current edit box/window (and will be selected) with a single button. May 23 2001 4267

Here's an interesting idea!

In order to eliminate the need for a keyboard in my home theater pc (the PC is in my living room so I don't want a big keyboard lying around) I want to develop a Girder group which lets me use the remote numeric keypad similar to how one would do SMS on a mobile phone. So I would like to assign letters to the numbers e.g 2=ABC, 3=DEF, 4=GHI,5=JKL, and so on.

So my problem is, how do I assign multiple letters to a single event? I know how to assign a single letter to an event. However I want to do something like the following

One quick press of "2" = "A"
Two quick presses of "2" = "B"
Three quick presses of "2" = "C"

You get the idea....

Any pointers?

Thanks
Lester

Unfortunately, it looks like this will not be updated. Guess I have to find another solution

Cheers
