Good Morning,
I am trying to have Girder turn my televisions on and off at a given time (7:00 - 5:00pm) and I am new to the Girder program.
I am not sure of the process to get this to work.
I would like to know which plugin would get this to work.
I would also know how to schedule the event
Finally I would like to know how to know how to get the power on power off tested.
Thanks,
Looking forward to hearing a solution.

Hi Dan,
Welcome to the Promixis Forums.
You'll need
1. A USB-UIRT or Global Cache or IRTrans to transmit the IR
2. The Scheduler Plugin (part of Girder 5 Pro or the Trial )
3. The manual ;-) Home Automation Applications \ Scheduler.
That should get you going.

I have the USBUIRT plugin but when I go to check the box in girder it says it is not installed.
I do see it in the folder.
Please advise.

Also when I check the box it turns red?
Thats an indication that it is not loaded properlly right?

Did you install the USB-UIRT drivers into the OS?

I have added that to the plugins. The hardware under the device manager is Tira on COM 4.
Am I not loading it properly?
What is the sequence to load that driver (usbuirt) into the OS?

The Tira is NOT the USB-UIRT. You will have to contact the manufacturer of the Tira for drivers for Girder.

I understand that, however would I have to have USBUIRT loaded in the drivers under the device manager or do I add the plugin to Girder?
As mentioned, I just want to get tvs to turn on/off I don't totally understand the way that it works together.
I just get a red box when I go to enable the plugin for girder.
How should I proceed?

The USB-UIRT driver is only for the USB-UIRT device from www.usbuirt.com it won't work with the Tira hardware.

Can I use the TIRA device to turn my tv on off?
I have 4 tvs in a school district that I need to auto on/off.
I have the Tira drivers installed
Can I do that with what I have and if so, how?

You'll need a working Girder plugin for the Tira - good luck with that. Search for Tira here for the full story.

You'll have to contact home-electro. (The manufacturer of that hardware)

The tira plugin is working, the tira is taking signals when I press power. Now I just need to know how to get girder to send a schedule signal to the tv and I think that will suffice.
Your thoughts?

I do not know the Tira plugin so you'll have to figure out some of this stuff.
But in short:
Create an "SEND IR" action specifically for the Tira
Then create a scheduler (see manual) that triggers at your desired times.
Assign the eventstring to the "Send IR" you created.
