Hi. Just a quick check. What versions of girder/osdmenu are you using?

I don't see this problem, although I have done in the past. OSDMenu window does not always get focus so if you press a keyboard key it may well get sent to a different application. However, it sounds like you are sending keys via Girder (the 'correct' way to do it).
Could you do me a favour - try out the new version (1.53) - (see my forum post).
I've updated osdmenu.gml in this release so could you test with that, since I know it works (for me).
Also, could you read through readme.html just to check everything is setup correctly (there is some new stuff in that doc that wasn't in the old txt files).
Thankyou.

Hi, I'm quite new to Girder, but I'm amazed to see what you can do with it.

I have the PB Fast Media Remote and have configured all the buttons there is. Now I want some additional action like activating a blur effect with FFDShow (DivX Playback Filter) and some others.

Now I can't get girder events executed. What I do is:

Create the command that does the action.
Select Girder Event from the dropdown box and click Learn Event
There I write in the top box BlurEvent and click Select
In the OSDMenu.ini I add the line: Blur On/Off=#18#BlurEvent

Now I open the OSDMenu navigate to the Blur On/Off and hit the Return Button, but nothing happenes. What is wrong here?

And something else:
Say I have the BlurEvent assigned to a the 7 button on my remote. Now I execute the OSDMenu and select an entry by pressing the 7 button. My normal action groups are disabled/ OSDMenu Menu Keys are enabled, but as soon as the 7th command is chosen the Menu disapeares and the other action is executed as well after it is getting activated.
This is when I held down the button a little to long. But using the Antirepeat wait time in the OSDMenu Menu Keys group has no effect. As soon as the groups are disabled/enabled girder forgets the antirepeat and executes. Any workaround here?

Ok, the first problem is solved. It was my fault. Didn't see that the group I was targeting from the Menu was inside the group that gets disabled.

But the other problem, when I hold down the button a little too long executes the command after the menu is gone. I searched the forum, but didn't see a question like that.
If you have Notepad as active window, activate the menu, go down the menu and hit the Return button doesn't it put a linebreak in notepad afterwards? The reactivated group should of course have a button assigned to a Return Event.

Girder 3.2.3a and OSDMenu 152 on WinXP.

Hmmm, still the same thing.
I assigned the keys to my remote (Enter-0).
I put an Enter Key Command in the Sample Normal Keys Folder (The same button as the Enter Key from the Menu Keys Folder).
I bring Notepad to the Foreground.
Now I open up the OSDMenu by hitting the Menu Button on my remote, navigate to an entry and press the Enter Button on my remote.
The Entry gets executed (First App window appeares for example) and Notepad comes back to the foreground and inserts one or two Linebreaks in the document. It depends on how long I held down the Enter button on my remote (Which isn't very long). So the Antirepeat wait time [ms] entry doesn't work with OSDMenu.
