see attachment,
-run "Simulate 23..." to simulate one possible Winamp caption... works fine
-run "Simulate 4823..." to simulate another possible caption .. works too.
-run "simulate 1..." to simulate Winamp that plays "plainfilename.mp3" and see girder crash ...
I know that there could be another 100bytes of cscript to prevent that crash , but on the other hand , Girder should not crash no matter what impossible string-search I'm asking for :)

you only need to run "simulate 1..." to crash
I did had no sucess reproducing the crash with only one-command script , this script contains commands withing other commands , and it may be the cause of the crash ...
it seems to me like the missing of another " - " string in the caption causes it , yet not finding that substring itself does NOT crash.
only if that string needs to be found as a part of another command.
