Has anybody configured Girder to read the PS/2 mouse port? I'm new here, but I searched the forum and found no mention of "PS/2".
I have a Silitek SK-7100 keyboard that uses an IR Receiver plugged in to the PS/2 mouse and PS/2 keyboard ports. This is working fine. But I also have a Silitek SM-1000 remote control. This is supposed to have it's own IR receiver plugged in to a COM port. But since I bought them together, I did not get that receiver. I am supposed to use the keyboard receiver. But the software drivers don't support this.
I know about the Silitek support in Girder, but that only works with the COM port receiver. I need to detect input from the SM-1000 remote to the PS/2 receiver. Mouse movements from the remote work fine, (so I know that the remote is operational) but buttons on the remote don't do anything. (They do make the data/activity light come on in the receiver) The input does not come in as keyboard entries.
So I'm thinking that if I can get Girder to read the PS/2 mouse port, I can detect those buttons. I know I can buy another SM-1000 remote and COM port receiver on eBay for $10, but I'd like to try the software solution first. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
