Okay so here is my situation:

I'm a huge newbie here, i just got my usb-uirt, i first tried a really simple, one button netremote with an ir code learned. That didnt work, i will look into that later. Then i went into Girder to the learn/ test IR code screen. It learned fine, filled green bars for quality and progress. Then when i hit test, nothing happens. I have tried it with the usb-uirt hooked into the receiver in on my xantech 4 connecting block (do i need special cable for this, i was using one you might use to connect an ipod's headphone jack to speakers (without the red white rca jacks)) Then i tried plugging the emitter/flasher/blaster w/e into the usb-uirt, Same thing. AM i missing something????

I really need to figure this out because i am still unsure about girder/ netremote and if i cant figure it out within the trial i am def. not going to purchase it. Thanks, Jsnkid

Can you just try it with the USB-UIRT without any extra emitters plugged into it. It's possible to blow the output circuitry on the USB-UIRT with an incorrect cable (I know - I've done this myself). Also try this with the supplied USB-UIRT software to make sure that it's still functioning.

There are simple IR sending applications on www.usb-uirt.com - try one of those.
