I've done another fresh install on my laptop and I've hooked up an imon vfd externally to see if I can get it to work again. I had it working in the past, but now when I enable the LCD plugin after installing the software and driver I crash when I hit the settings button on the plugin page.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Does anyone know what I need to do to get it to work with Girder? It works fine with the Soundgraph software that I downloaded from their site. The error message I get points to lcd.dll.

Thanks.

I think I've seen that happen on occasion. File a bug report for now if you don't mind.

I don't have internet access from home at the moment. I'll see if I can transfer the error report and send it from another location.
Thanks.

OK, I know I've waited years before revisiting this problem, but I am now anxious to get my VFD working again for a certain project that I am working on. I enabled the plugin and Girder says that it is loaded in settings, but as soon as I hit the settings button for the LCD plugin, it crashes.
Can I use my google email account to file a bug report somehow? Do I need to figure out how to use Stunnel again?
Thanks.

Is there anyone at all here that has the LCD plug-in working?
Why is this place so dead these days?

Everyone must be happy!

Not sure why that plugin crashes I'll add it to my todo list to investigate.

Thanks! I'd really appreciate it!
I'm working on a really cool project and I'd like to work Girder into the mix. I'm building an automated aquarium lid and I'd like to have the VFD display information like the temperature and PH of the water.

I'll do my best. The LCD plugin is a 3rd party plugin that is quite large so a lot to take in when starting debugging :(

Sounds like a fun project!

Just let me know if there's anything that I can test for you on this side.

The project is fun, but it is a lot of work and very expensive so far. I am using 18 LED strips that cost $25 each, a $200 PC power supply to power them (though decommissioned for PC use), about $100 of Lexan and aluminum, an Elk temperature probe (about $75), an Elk serial expander to eventually hook up to the PH meter ($85), the VFD (came with a HTPC case that I bought years ago), and the PH meter with the probe will cost about $300.

Pretty funny when you think about the fact that the tank itself cost me $50 on Kijiji. The lid kicks ass, though. ;)

Oh, and I forgot the Simplehomenet Insteon relay device (EZIOSA) @ $120. :O
