Use the userevent plugin, it can send events with an timeout.

* enable the plugin as usual.
* Add a command.
* go to the plugins tab on the main window
* Select user events
* press settings
* User events Dialog pops-up
* EventString "TestEvent1"
* Check "delay this event"
* Select Relative from now
* enter desired wait for example 10 seconds
* Press okay or apply.

* Create the command that should be triggered after the wait
* From the dropdown box next to the learn event button select "Users events"
* Press learn event
* Dialog pops-up
* Enter "TestEvent1"

You're all set to go now.
To test this, select the first command we made and press f5, 10 seconds later you'll see an event coming in.

If the command is located inside a multigroup girder will ignore the eventstring. That is the whole idea of an multigroup. Move the command that should be executed out of the multigroup into a normal group and it will work.

This is documented somewhere, please read the online help carefully.

Eventstrings that are attached to command are ignore if these commands sit in an multigroup. That is the idea of an multigroup, 1 event ( the one attached to the multigroup ) triggers all commands in it in order. So if you want to have the wait trigger the last few commands, move them all into a new multigroup and attach the wait eventstring to that multigroup.

an no, the wait will not change, the user event plugin is perfect for the job.

Read up on how events work. Just a tip :-)
