And 2 more possibilities:
1. Just type the URL into the File box of the execute command.
2. Browse for the internet explorer and enter the url into the "Step size" box of the execute command.

I can get internet explorer 5.5 to start up with a keypress but it automatically goes to my home page (as it should). How do I redirect it to another address , for example, http://www.stack.nl/~stilgar/windoze
?
I created a new command in tree view. Then I went to the keyboard tab and typed in the http address in the sentence box, clicked apply. Then I cicked on the leftmost tab (window) I clicked on target. I found the window name, Girder - Microsoft Internet Explorer. But then I tried to pick a child class, BUT THERE ARE 15 OF THEM! I tried a random one and clicked the checkbox, but girder crashed. Am I on the right track? Thanks.

Ron,
Solution #1 works, as long as the address is not a long cgi thing.
I also noted something peculiar with the airboard, this is an excellent ir keyboard. I was trying to set notepad to execute with the f7 key. After I press learn event and hit the f7 key, i would see 760000 in the led display of girder. After saving and then minimizing girder, this key would become unresponsive. Reprogramming the learn event with the SAME key (f7) would then yield 760A00 in the LED display of girder. Obviously, girder was unresponsive because it's initial interpretation of the f7 keypress (760000) was faulty. Has this been reported?
Who is flakey, the airboard or girder?

You could try making a shortcut to the url, and have Girder execute the shortcut.
