I have a Philips Pronto that has TCP/IP capabilities but I am trying to control multiple RS-232 and TCP/IP enabled devices without necessarily always using the Pronto controller.
Does anyone know if I can connect my RS-232 devices to a PC and use Girder as the middleware meaning have Girder listen to the different TCP/IP ports and RS-232 ports and as pronto commands come in over a TCP/IP port, girder knows which TCP/IP or RS-232 device port to forward to as well as send the response back to the pronto. If it can do this, Girder must be able to have many event entries since I would need to probably put in 30 to 50 commands for each device. Thanks for any help.
