Say + DVDSpy = spoken approximation of title/artist?

pretty easy. Use dvdspy to get the title of the playing number. (Thus Use Lua or GVMS to copy the contents of the pld1). Then enter the variable that you stored the title in as the argument for the say plugin. ( you know [variablename] )

Can I get the Say plug-in to sort of pronnounce messages from DVDSpy? What I want is the ability to push a pre defined button and have it say the name of the artist and the song, perhaps other values from Winamp's or MJB's windows.

Every now and then I get lost in my collection of 17 000 + MP3's, and if I hear something I really wonder what is in the bedroom or in the bathroom I have to get up, go to the living room, turn on the TV and see what's on. I would love to be able to push a button and hear "Annihilation ... Alice In Hell ... Word Salad". Or at least something that's close enough to tell me that's what I'm playing. So am I four years ahead of my time, or is this possible? I'd like to know that before I start working on it. :D

Sure it's possible, should be actually very straight-forward to do that, I think.

Simply have commands that save the Song Title data to some Girder variable, and have a Say command that "says" that variable.
