Using Girder to pass on extenal IR

I all,
Just stated looking into configering Girder and Net remote via a wireless net work, but net remote does not support IR, so what i would like to do is send the IR comand to Girder and hopfully get Girder to relay that IR to and extenal device,
Looking to use Red rat unless there is an alternative way that is more reasonably priced ,
My main quesion is how would i configer Girder to past the IR to the external device?
is there a Help file i could read?

Any Help would be greatly appreciated :)
