Splash screen

Is it possible to resize the splash screen at NR start or remove it, without using a batch file?

I have a device booting straight into nr, the os looks for a .exe within a particular folder and boots to that rather than the desktop.
Trouble is, the splash screen is quite small and the desktop sneaks around the edges.

Being able to resize it to a larger size would be great!

Forgot to mention that i have a cab butcher program - so if anything can be done within this to solve it, i'm game.

Alternatively, I can make a cab file to adjust the reg if that'll work? Need a gentle shove as to what to change though....

You can do this from a command line parameter /show_splash=0 but I'm not sure that will work for you.

yup

"C:\Program Files\Promixis\NetRemote\NetRemote.exe" /show_splash=0

works ok as a .bat but the device is looking for .exe so will not run it.

Is there anything i set in the reg to do this?

Not at present, no.

Later... Actually, that isn't true! There is a reg key to do this

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Promixis\NetRemote\Pack age

Add a DWORD value called DisableSplash and set it to 1

What would it take to realise this function? Is it major grief?

Is it not possible to put a checkbox into the file > settings (similar to the "start fullscreen" options) ?

Is it possible to change the splash screen logo....

not necessarily to remove the NR logo but to incorporate it into a full screen splash

so basically what's the path to the 'splash screen'

That's not possible I'm afraid, it's a resource internal to NetRemote.exe
