I can't find it on the download page! I need it for Girder 3.2, if there's a difference. The link for downloading MS Speech API is still there, though. Weird, huh? :-?

If I'm not mistaken the "Say" plugin ships with Girder 3.2, so maybe you just need to enable it in Settings->Plugins?

Download the MS Speech API and install it to enable Text-to-speech on your computer, then just ENABLE the PLUG-IN (as previously said - it is part of Girder).
good luck, have fun.

I don't quite have time right now, I'm moving, but when it's done, I'll check to find a way to have the speech API in another thing then english.
I'm trying to have my computer to speak french (like me) but basically if it is possible to implement something else than english, any language will work.
Ifever you have info about this, I'd like to know.

I checked for a while about the language APIs...
yet I found that there is some language packages from Microsoft, but I cannot find any way to use them in any applications, less even under Girder.
Still I keep on looking... sorry to be long :(
If anyone have hints - please tell me.
Basically, if I can manage to make the language package to work, girder then can talk in another language. (I tested on the web some language packages, text-to-speech in french even clearer than the ones we have right now!!!)
One day we'll make it talk another language...
