Hi,

I bought a tv-card (hauppauge hvr-2200) and with the package this remote was delivered:

*h*t*t*p://s191750851.onlinehome.us/pics/remote11.jpg

On the back, i can read RC6 ir (serial number RRS9002-86XXF produced by SMK)
The receiver is a usb device.

This remote works perfectly with windows media center, but I would like to use it for KMplayer.

=> how can I setup girder for this remote? I've tried the 'add remote wizard' but my remote is not listed there. I've tried selecting other remotes but that didn't work.

Or is it true that my remote is not supported by Girder?

(i've used the trial-version v5 of girder)

Search on google maybe?

There are 2 plugins, MceIR.dll ( google with this) and MCePLugin.dll.
Put them in Plugins in Girder, activate them in settings, and read the girder manual.

I have done what you are trying (as best i can tell) and used this method:
etcwiki.org/wiki/MCEir_-_Universal_Remote_for_MCE

It let me input events from my MCE remote into girder on vista/girder5

Hope it helps.

Search on google maybe?

I did that, but didn't find an answer, that's why I use forums.

Meanwhile I've looked further and I found in IntelliRemote a perfect working solution for my problem explained in my first post.

Thanks for your support anyway.

If you use MCeir.dll with Girder you get the same support like Intelliremote. I have both of them installed, but i tend to use Girder a lot.
