How can i receive ir-signals under windows 7 x64?
The IgorplugXP to get signals from a com port doesn't work anymore.
I don't know if a update of that plugin will ever appear.

I tried to replace the ir-receiver by one from a MCE-remote.
I bought a MCE-Remote (Auvisio VRC-1100 Ro). The IR-receiver comming with that works like a HID-Device (Keyboard). I could't find a way to distinguish between commandos from Keyboard and commandos from the ir-receiver.
Notabene: I do not want to use Windows Media Center Edition. I want to map the commands manually with Girder.

I can't say enough about the USB-UIRT. It will do what you want.

I think you are confusing the USB-UIRT (http://promixis.com/partner_usbuirt.php) with the igor plugin

I do not know what you mean by confusing. I do not have this USB-UIRT.
But i have to check if it ist compatible with Win 7 x64. then i wil buy one.

Thanks for the tip.

The USB-UIRT works on Vista 64, to make sure it works on Win7 ask on the forums over at usbuirt.com.

I just checked their site. They write about compatibility:
Windows XP, Windows 2K, Windows 98/ME, Windows Vista, Windows 7, both 32 and 64-bit.
