Hi guys,

is there an updated Firefly plugin (dll) for Windows 7?

This is the error I see in the logger:

Error in LoadPlugin/gir_open: Access violation at address 0261174D in module 'firefly.dll'

This is the dll that you get from the snapstream site.

?? Is the snapstream no longer supported on Windows 7?

Cheers for your help. Trying to set everything up in Girder now that I've upgraded to Windows 7.

Sorted!

I am running Windows 7 32 bit.

When you first run snapstream.exe to install the firefly drivers, it fails. You need to set the compatibility to WinXP SP2, then run it. This will install the remote, and you will see it in the device manager as "Snapstream Firefly". Now open girder, settings, plugins, and tick "Snapstream Firefly". That should load the driver successfully. Check "Logger" for any loading errors.

Don't download the X10 RF something or the other driver from windows update. It will update the driver to be an X10 RF receiver, which will cause the firefly.dll to fail when loading in Girder.

Hope that helps anyone else that runs into this same issue.

Cheers.
