View Full Version : Standard or Pro for My Needs?

Hello,

Quite a while ago I tested Girder and it was working fine for my needs, but I didn't purchase it at the time. Now I want to purchase it, but the trial has expired and I'm not sure if I need the Standard or Pro version.

My input device is a Marmitek PC Remote, which connects to the PC through a wireless USB receiver - I believe the receiver uses the ATI Remote Wonder driver, and also requires the generic X10 driver for the wireless.

I am just needing it to control windows applications, media player, mouse movement etc.

Do you think the Standard version is enough for my needs and will work with this input device? I hope so, as I am on a limited budget right now :)

Thanks,
Leo

Sounds as though you're not doing anything that would require Pro e.g. serial control and a few other extras. You may want to wait for Ron to confirm this though.

Looks like standard will do for you.

Same questions....but:

I'm connecting Girder to IRTrans running on a different machine. Do I need any Pro features?

The IRTrans plugin works in Girder 5 standard.
