how can i connect my Nokia to my pc via IR?

you're probably looking for an IRDA device and an IRCOMM driver for windows. Some versions of windows include it, most don't.
This has nothing to do with Girder. Girder is meant for controlling a PC, not for transmitting data.
Once you get an IRDA device, don't try to use it with Girder, it won't work (see FAQ for details)

can someone explain me how can i connect a Nokia mobile phone to my PC using girder?
i have girder and a 'generic serial support' plugin but i'm not able to find out how to do it. and i'm not sure it will work.

the remote control is working just fine with igor's plugin.
