Sorry HW+ detector only works with the remote that it comes with.

Confirming .. works like a charm. Don't forget to disable any existing software for this device that will clash with Girder's plugin.

And it's very cheap ... really nice peripheral, especially as it's handled by Girder.

I meant ; Girder can not "drive" the remote if another application, namely the original RealMagic remote one, already runs.

That's quite straightforward but I'm sure someone will stumble onto the same problem :wink:

The software for the remote is separate to the driver and player application. Just don't install the sigma remote control software.

I just got ordered the Hollywood+ with the PCI card. As I read your message, if I wish to use Girder, I must not install any of their software. I would install the card and the IR detector, and use only girder for control. Is this right?

The Realmagic remote and IR detector for the Holywood+ system arrived. I plugged it into my serial port and it works smoothly with girder, but the IR detector seems to only have "eyes" for this one remote. What can I do to use it with my other remotes? The flash icon in girder stays green with all other remotes I use!!!
