Hi!

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate and I have installed the latest version of Girder 5.0.10 (build 544). I have two Media Center remotes: An iMon remote that came bundled with a VFD IR receiver and branded with this Mozart SX case from Thermaltake, and the Gyration Media Center Gyroremote.

I installed the Girder plug-in for iMon that I found in thread #10531 (I'm a n00b so I can't post the link, sorry).

The problem I'm having is that Girder doesn't recognize the play, pause, and shuttle buttons on either remote. Other functions work just fine. But not the main shuttle controls.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before.....I've searched here and Google and could not find a straight answer. What am I missing? I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

Thank you all!

Sounds like maybe this is acting as a HID - does the iMon show up in Windows' Device Manager as a Human Interface Device?

Yes, they are showing-up as HID devices.

Does this mean I'm out of luck???

I can't believe this: Both Windows Media Player AND iTunes sees my remotes, but Girder doesn't??? What gives?!

You mean no one has an answer for this???

Are you running the iMon software?

You should be able to use the HID devices, but it does involve a bit of extra work I'm afraid.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to devote to making this work.

I am not new to Girder, btw: I was using it years ago with my Hauppauge WinTV PVR250 card and the Ahanix DVine 5 Media Center PC case and it's proprietary remote without incident. I don't know--the Girder platform seemed more flexible back in those days (3.x). Maybe it's just me. *shrugs*

When I get some time, I will come back to it.

Cheers.
