The 6/21 version of the Slink-E plugin DLL in 3.2.4 calls Beep. The 5/27 version in 3.2.3a did not...Is this for debugging? Can it be turned off via the registry or something?

It can't be turned off but was removed in SlinkE driver version 1.1 (7/3/02) (http://www.girder.nl/downloadn.php?Link=372).

The 6/21 version of the Slink-E plugin DLL in 3.2.4 calls Beep. The 5/27 version in 3.2.3a did not. I think it's when it gets a nomatch event from the hardware, which happens all the time when there are other IR devices around.

The Lua version of GVMS also calls Beep sometimes.

Actually what I have noticed is that the beep is not coming from the Lua, but from the Popup OSD plugin tring to display a text of a register created by Lua, But I still doesn't know why.
