I have an AverMedia TV Studio card and I can't get the remote to work with Girder. The remote works fine with it's own software and it also works with BorgTV, but not Girder. Here's what I'm doing (maybe I did something wrong):
I installed Girder and the newest patch (3.2.5pre1).
I did not change any settings anywhere.
I added a new command.
I clicked Learn Event.
I pressed a button on my remote and nothing happened.
I really have no idea how to get this to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
One other quick question. The AverMedia card is built into my notebook (Sager 8880 (http://www.sagernotebook.com/pages/notebooks/product.cfm?ProductType=8880)) and the Power button on the AverMedia remote turns on and off the computer. I tried using generic BT8x8 drivers in Device Manger (I'm running Win2k, if it matters) but the damn thing always turns off the computer. I think it may be built into the hardware, but any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Mark
