View Full Version : Locking up...

Using Girder 5 - build 544 on a HP probook 4520s. Girder keeps locking up - where I cannot do anything except shut the machine off. It's doing this while testing a comcast remote connected via a Home Electronics TIRA2 device. Had this same setup using Acer Veritons and never experienced a lock up... I know HP sux, but I didn't buy the hardware... Anyone have any advice as to why it might be locking and what I might be able to do to stop it? Thanks.

The TIRA drivers are known to be troublesome.
Beyond that try to run the latest rev of Girder 5

What do you recommend as an alternative to TIRA then? I will grab the latest Girder build and see if that helps, thanks.

The USB-UIRT works well

Thanks.
Uninstalled 544, installed 548 and now get an error about borlandmm.dll missing...

That's strange I'll look into it.

Thanks, I found that dll... installed it, then got errors about two more and installed them too. Now I get an error starting Girder that says it had a divide by zero problem.
Going back to 544 for now as 548 seems to have some problems when installed clean.
Will see about the UIRT instead of TIRA

Sorry, those .dll's are for the TIRA... argh. I'll get it setup properly and let you now if 548 works better... thanks again.

Update - still went back to 544 because we kept getting a divide by zero error when Girder started... Ended up turning off HP's power management services and the TIRA and Girder are working happily now.
