I would like to use a simple com port to control the 12 volt trigger on my amp. I understand I can use port 4 and 5 of the com port but I don't know how to control the state of the com port with girder to turn on/off the 12 volt supply out of the com port???
I suppose this will be a type of relay.

Please Help! I wish to keep the task of turning the amp on from my HTPC as simple as possible every time I put the machine into/out of standby.

Thank You in advance.

Is there a way to simply turn on/off a usb port? That would get me 5 volts which is enough for my amp's 12 volt sensor.
